The Uppsala police area is one of the police areas in the Mitt region with Uppsala as the main town. The area stretches from Håbo in the south to Älvkarleby in the north and encompasses 8 municipalities. The police area is divided into three local police areas: Uppsala/Knivsta, Enköping/Håbo, and Norduppland. At the police area level, there is an investigation section and a local office.

The Enköping/Håbo local police area is part of the Uppsala police area. Within the local police area, there are intervention and crime prevention activities, investigation groups, as well as support and service. Here, we strive for a flexible approach where we work with crime fighting in focus and take responsibility for the whole in order to streamline operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The assignment as group manager for BF-IGV. As the manager for BF/IGV, you report to the local police area manager and are part of the local police area's management team, where you collectively are responsible for ensuring that assignments are carried out and for driving the authority's change and development work. You have particular responsibility for the group's activities within crime prevention and intervention operations and their results. As a group manager, you represent the entire Police Authority both internally and externally and work to strengthen trust in police operations.

As a manager, you drive development by inspiring and encouraging reflection and feedback in a way that is based on following the law and treating people equally. You create conditions and work for good relationships that contribute to us acting together based on what is best for citizens and the assignment as a whole.

QUALIFICATIONS

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • at least 6 months of continuous experience working as a supervisor, project manager, or similar
  • experience participating in change and development work
  • experience in the area of intervention operations
  • Police degree

We consider it an advantage if you also have:

  • experience leading others towards set goals and results
  • participated in management forums
  • managerial and leadership training for direct, indirect, and/or strategic levels
  • experience participating in/driving collaboration with community actors outside the police organization/your own organization
